We started looking into caravan sites that we would take our van to and found the local area was seriously lacking in well kept sites. We applied for planning to have caravans and motorhomes, we were turned down as it was an unviable business, the council simply did not understand how big our community is and nor did our neighbours realise what huge benefits a site could bring to their village economy. Eventually we were granted a five site c/s. During 2012 we prepared the sites infrastructure and opened in 2013. By August we were turning people away as we were selling out and the big clubs refused to give us greater pitch allocation. Luckily we got wind of the Freedom camping club. a new club who are not stuck in the 1950s who gave us permission to have the pitches you demanded and so our caravan site journey began in earnest. Over the years we have earnt a large cohort of returning guests, this is in part because we chat to you all and importantly listen. Having had many years of listening to you guys the one comment that stood out was that we ought to have some type of fixed accomodation such as mobile home or shepherds hut so campers could return with other members of their family.

We chose to move forward with this idea in 2017, eventually after years of many expensive tests and surveys along with a number of design ideas being turned down, we eventually were given permission to build two cabins in 2021. By 2023 the cabins were fully open with only landscaping refinements needing to be completed. Soon after this we realised we needed a dedicated laundry and cleaning room. I also wanted a dedicated studio for my sign writing as well as classic car storage. So we embarked on another build project. In 2026 all building projects are complete bar some small jobs to tidy up and maintain the buildings. So 13 years of building the business we are finally finished with infrastructure now all that's left is to maintain our garden, your site, to the standard we have become known for and spend more time with you guys making sure you have as perfect a stay we can make it.
